Fun in the Sun

The other day is was around 84 degrees so we
decided to have a sprinkler party with some friends! The kids had so much
fun running through the water.Nathan and Emma weren't to sure about the water at first!
The expressions on their faces tells it all!
Here Nathan is soaked from head to toes. We were watering the lawn after mowing it the other day and Nathan thought it was so much fun to stick his hands in the water.

Rich was also soaked from Nathan squirting him with the water.

The video is of Nathan getting hit with the sprinkler.
I don't think he quit knew what he was walking into.

Yellow Tulip

So our tulip finally bloomed last night and the first thought that came to us is Evelyn, Rich's mom. She loves the color yellow, and it fits her to a "T". Bright, beautiful and a lovely person. We love you so much and can't wait to see you in June.

Below is also some yellow flowers, I call this picture "Rich walking in a field of Yellow Flowers"

We were finally able to get a lawn mower and get the lawn mowed. It looks so much better, here are a couple pictures of the process and the jungle Rich mowed through.

Jabber, Jabber, Jabber!

So the other day Nathan and I were outside working in the yard. I turned around to
see where he had gone and this is what I see...
(I believe that he gets this trait from his dad!)

If only Nathan knew what Rich was doing he wouldn't be so eager to help. Child locks my sanity!

Pictures

I tried posting these pictures yesterday but they would show up so here you all go.
Nathan, Dad, and Mom! Can you tell that the wind was blowing just a little bit?
These next couple of pictures are of Rich and Nathan in the loader. Rich was hauling manure and we decided to take a trip out to see him.

Lost Camera Battery Charger- Lost Camera

So during our move in February to our new rental I lost the camera battery charger. I looked everywhere for it couldn't find it anywhere. Then one day as I was looking at some old pictures, there was the charger. As I went to grab the camera I couldn't find it anywhere, great just what I needed. I looked for about 3 weeks and still couldn't find it, now I was starting to worry. Well as I was cleaning the bathroom last week I thought I need to clean out the basket on top of the toilet. You know what I am talking about the one that holds all the good reading material, "Classic Trucks" and the "Ensign"!! As well as the bathtoys, hair ties I even found a ruler. Then I saw it "The Camera!" So finally they are back together and I can take pictures once again of our handsome little man and the adventures that we have everyday.

So a little update for everyone Nathan is now 13 months and teething again. I told Rich last night that I don't HATE many things, DISLIKE a lot but not HATE, but I do have to admit that I HATE teething. The pain they go through is so heart aching. Added along with the fevers, the drooling, the wining, and the sleepless nights. I hope the end is near!! Nathan is starting to say a couple of words, of course mama and dada. He also loves to say "HI", "OT-OH", "POPORN" (popcorn), "EYET" (light). He is so cute and loves to have us sing, Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree, talk on the phone, dance, and play with his trucks.

Rich was called to be the Ward Clerk about a month ago, and he loves the calling. I am a little sad that he is not teaching the Sunbeam class with me anymore. We do grab him often to translate for us with a little boy who doesn't speak English. Rich also is working a couple of days a week after work for a farmer in our ward. He enjoys being in the tractor, which I think is therapeutic for him. There he can just be in silence and relax.

For me I am still one of the Sunbeam teachers, which is a challenge in itself. I am on the Enrichment committee and I am getting things ready for a Super Saturday activity in the next couple of months. Also I have been watching 2 little boys a couple times a week for a friend. I am still sewing and love it. I just did a dress for my little sister, made curtains for our living room, finished Nathan's bumper pads, made two aprons, making little girl dresses, and now started on a gardening tote. I am thinking of putting some of the dresses that I am making on Etsy, so we will see how that goes.

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Okay so i started to write on the 4th but didn't finish so here is the finished post. Today our little boy is 1 year old! We can't believe how the time has gone by. He is such a joy in our life and so much fun. Currently he loves Popsicles, sweeping the floor, tractors, the washer and dryer, and his sippy cup. He is into everything since he has been walking and has the battle wounds to show for it. Yesterday he hit his head twice on the wall, once on the couch and got his finders in a mouse trap, and has realized if he stands on the base heater he can grab the blinds. We love him so much and are so happy he is in our lives. For some reason I can't post pictures but I will soon.

Busy Month

So February is one of the busiest months for us. Our Anniversary was on the 6th, my birthday was on the 13th ( the big 25) and then Valentines Day on the 14th. So we have decided that we only do cards on Valentines Day, a combined gift for our anniversary and me a present. It is the best month in the whole year. Not to mention Aunt "C", Megan, Koda, and Shaun's birthdays. Here is pic from our wedding, man have we changed not the best pic but the only one I could find on the computer.

Time Fly's

So just the other day it seemed like we brought Nathan home from the hospital and now he is almost 1. I can't believe how big he is getting. He has been walking for about a week now and into everything. He loves the blinds, sweeping the floor, eating Popsicles with his dad, snuggling into pillows, playing with trucks, and give tons on kisses with his forehead. We don't know what we ever did without him.

OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL!!!

Just wanted to say hi and tell everyone that we miss the warm weather in Hawaii. HOLY COW I forgot how cold it can get. The other day it was -18 degrees outside and the wind was blowing so who knows how cold it really felt. We are here in Idaho for the holidays and are having so much fun with our family. During the day we are crafting, eating, playing games (Wii which is so fun as well as Guitar Hero), watching movies, playing in the snow. Then at nights waking up every hour with our little man, he is teething and it isn't very much fun for any of us. He already has one tooth and now he is getting another one. When we get back to Washington we will post pictures of our trip and ones from Thanksgiving. Since I haven't written in a long time I will give you a break down of what has been going on:- Nathan standing up against anything he can get his hands on- Nathan walking along furniture- 2 trips to the emergency room for Nathan with a 106 temp (scary but he is okay now)- Spending Thanksgiving with Family in Idaho- Seeing snow for the first time in 3 years, it was beautiful- Remembering that it isn't so fun walking outside while it is snowing and blowing. Brrrr!!- Snot freezing in your nose because it is so cold outside- Pushing people out of the snow when stuck in the middle of the road- Driving down the road sideways because of slick roads- Having to buy snow tires- Having Christmas 1 week early, not wanting to haul all the presents down to Idaho and then back to WashingtonWell again we miss the warm weather in Hawaii! We hope everyone's season is wonderful and filled with joy and love.

Love, Tomlinson's

The Joy in our Life

I have attached a video of Nathan and Rich playing with the tractors. It is so much fun to watch Rich and Nathan play together. He is such a joy in our life and we love him more and more each day. We have been so busy lately doing crafts, talking in church (so glad that is over) getting ready for Thanksgiving and the Tomlinson Christmas Party. Rich just installed an Air Filtration System in his pick-up. After he was done we went for a little drive and it was awesome. We leave next Wednesday for Idaho we are so excited about seeing family but not the long car ride. We can't complain though it is so much cheaper than flying for 6 1/2 hours from Maui to Salt Lake and then driving 4 hours up to Idaho. Nathan is growing so much and he is so much fun. He has such an amazing personality and he makes us laugh so hard. So I have a cute little story about him. I was at my friend Melissa's house the other day working on a craft. I left Nathan inside playing while I went out side to sand my project, it took me about a hour or so. When I got back in Nathan saw me and was so excited. He kept kissing me for 15 minutes, now his kisses include the tongue and slobber so I was a little water logged when he was done. It just melted my heart knowing that he missed me so much. I will post pictures of my crafts and sewing projects soon, I having so much fun doing them. Love to everyone!

Mom is SORRY!

So this weekend has been crazy. I made Rich and Nathan both sick, yes I made them. First I made dinner Saturday night, Broccoli and cheese soup. Yum I thought but it made Rich sick, he finally felt better Sunday night. Then Sunday night I accident left a bottle out for longer than 2 hours. ( for everyone that doesn't know formula can not be left out longer than 2 hours after being made). Well I took a nap while Nathan was. Nathan woke up screaming so Rich fed him the bottle that I left out and another one. Nathan went back to sleep I woke up and then Nathan did. He seemed fine he ate his dinner which was carrots and played. Then he was drinking his bottle before he was about to go to sleep and he sat up and threw up. All over, Rich was dry heaving and I was covered in puke. We then realized that I left the wrong bottle out for Rich. Yes, mom is sorry to her boys. they both are fine now and we wont be having broccoli or sour milk for a long, long, long time.
Although we do have some good news, Nathan is crawling now and into everything. Yes we "Love It" as Wheezy would say.

Happy Halloween!!

On Halloween day we had a Fall Festival at the church for the kids that are not in school. Here is a picture of all the kids that came. There is Nathan in his Superman costume.Yes Nathan was Superman imagine that. He was having so much fun playing with my cups that I was using for the game at my station. Here is Nathan with his friend Emma, she adores him. Every time she sees us she gets so happy. As you can see he is sharing the cups being used the the game. They also had a pinata for all the kids. Nathan was so excited when he saw so we gave him a try, he loved it. Okay so we were soup and rolls last night so Nathan was joining us and eating rolls himself; off my leg. Yes, there were more on the floor then in his mouth but he was happy so that is all that matters. Rich went to take a picture of him eating and as soon as Nathan saw the camera he gave us a smile. Then every time we would say "Smile" he would stop what he was doing and give us a grin. Here is another smile for the camera moment. We love him so much and can't believe how big he is. He is crawling now and is into everything. We love it but it does keep us on our toes.
